Light and truth brought about by science and the written law
The Academy of Forensic Sciences was organized with the following objectives:
- The promotion of education and elevation of accuracy, precision, and specificity in the forensic sciences,
- Devotion to the administration and achievement of justice through the application of science through the process of law, and,
- To advance the forensic scientist’s knowledge of classical and modern science and law.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Membership open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors with an interest in the Forensic Sciences.

Membership open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors with an interest in the Forensic Sciences.
Prior to induction into the Jennings High School Chapter of the Academy of Forensic Sciences, members must fulfill the following requirements:
- Obtain the recommendation of two science instructors, three faculty members, and two administrators.
- Participate in the Jennings High School Chapter of the Academy of Forensic Sciences Leadership Training.
- Participate in the Jennings High School Science Internship Readiness Training.
- Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to be considered for membership, and to maintain membership status.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to qualify for internships and scholarships.
In addition, members are required to participate, present, or compete in two forensic-science based projects per year, and present/assist with the Jennings Senior High School Open House, Jennings Senior High School Science Fright Night, and Jennings Senior High School PLTW Day.
